ASCA.

Our objective is to promote the sport of Sporting Clays.

The Alberta Sporting Clays Association (ASCA) is a non profit organization built to enhance and promote the game of sporting clays in Alberta. The ASCA is owned and operated by its members and works with various shooting clubs and sanctioning bodies to grow sporting clays. Developed to provide fun and engaging competition for people of every experience level. The ASCA is actively working with local clubs and shooting enthusiasts to endorse and support great shooting opportunities in a fun environment. The ASCA believes that competitive shoots and fun shoots are equally important in the shooting community and strives to promote and engage in each. The ASCA promotes many "learn to shoot" programs and opportunities within the province. We also host a provincial sporting clays championship each year that rotates around to clubs within the province.

The Alberta Sporting Clay Association (ASCA) has:

  • Grown to over 700 members in the province.

  • Provided safety and shooting instruction courses with special emphasis on junior and ladies programs.

  • Organized and coordinated, throughout the province and Western Canada, over 40 competitive and social shooting events every year.

Shooting clay targets is a very cleansing experience. It’s very relaxing. It takes a lot of concentration. It’s also very social, since you’re usually shooting with friends. You can talk and forget about almost anything else that’s on your mind.
